Bhiwani Hero Story Poker Masterclass

Bhiwani, Haryana, September2024:ShubhamUpadhyay, a 25-year-old tech evangelist from Bhiwani, Haryana is making waves in the Poker world after an exhilarating Poker skill display in the PokerBaazi’sMasterclass Series on JioCinema. Representing AbhishekGoindi’s Shark Squad, Shubham honed his skills in the series and received invaluable advice on building his Poker strategies and techniques.

Shubham began his Poker journey during his college days at SRM Chennai. Him and his friends were actively seeking activities to pass time during and this is when they started dabbling with the sport. He started playing home games among friends to learn about the rules and the strategy behind playing Poker. It wasn’t until a year ago that he began taking the game seriously, devoting significant time to mastering the art of Poker.

Shubham shares that an on-group experience and an opportunity to interact with Poker Masters and players enhanced his technical knowledge and empowered him to read his opponents better. Being an online Poker player, he also overcame challenges like counting chips during live games, which is a common struggle for players who are new to the live Poker scene.

“The experience was excellent, and it was great that other masters were also appreciating my game. Learning from the pros who have been at it for 12-13 years is very different from learning from a course or watching videos, it was a great learning experience and I would like to thank PokerBaazi for inviting me to participate in Poker Masterclass,” Shubham shared.

Poker, for Shubham, has been more than just a game. He has been actively instilling activities like yoga and meditation to improve his focus. He has also subscribed to reading materials to study the game and master bankroll management. Poker in turn, he shared has helped him in becoming a more patient person who waits and understands a situation before responding.

Looking up to Poker legends like Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, and his coach AbhishekGoindi, Shubham is determined to continue his growth in the Poker world.  He has joined a coaching program where AbhishekGoindi mentors him, and he has also assumed the role of an assistant under the master to help his team in further refining their strategies.
